Olson endorsed by taxpayer group
Olson is the only candidate for DuPage County Chairman who has been endorsed by NTUI. NTUI is the largest taxpayer protection organization in Illinois with over 30,000 members and supporters. Since 1993, NTUI members have defeated the annual state income tax increases that have been proposed in Springfield. One of their next endeavors will be to work with Debra Olson on tax relief for the working class people of Illinois.
In a December 15th letter to Olson, Tobin wrote, “I thank you for signing the Illinois Taxpayer Protection Pledge and opposing any and all efforts to increase taxes. In recognition of your exceptional desire to fight taxes and support economic growth, Tax Accountability endorses you for the February 2, 2010 primary election.”
This endorsement acknowledges Debra Olson’s record while serving on the DuPage County Board and demonstrates the results of her fight for taxpayers. She has consistently opposed tax increases. During this tough economic time Olson has been a true leader by taking a stand against tax increases and helping the citizens of DuPage County. While two of her opponents have repeatedly voted to raise taxes in the State of Illinois, including the RTA sales tax bill and the Video Gambling expansion and taxation legislation, Olson has reduced taxes, banned video gambling and promoted economic growth here in DuPage County.
Debra Olson is the only candidate who currently serves on the County Board. She knows and deals with county issues on a daily basis. She is a natural leader and problem solver, and has put her skills to work in the county where she has lived her entire life and where she and her husband have raised their family of four children.
“I am honored to have secured this endorsement from Tax Accountability. It truly acknowledges that, of all the candidates for County Board Chairman, I have the strongest and most consistent record on taxes. When endorsements align with my strong conservative values, it really matters.” – Debra Olson |
